The Maurice Murphy series was developed by Maurice Murphy, Principal Trumpet player of the London Symphony Orchestra from 1977 - 2007, in conjunction with Denis Wick. They have a medium shallow cup combined with a slightly wider rim, and throat and backbore designed to aid projection. This combination not only make it a great choice for orchestral performance, but these are also widely used among lead and section jazz musicians because of their comfort and projection.
